Who are the Mason Neck Lions?

The Mason Neck Lions Club is group of men and women who volunteer their time to humanitarian causes in the Mason Neck and Lorton areas. By conducting service projects and raising funds, we strive to help the less fortunate, wherever the need exists. We assist primarily in the areas of sight and hearing. Our motto is “We serve.”

The Mason Neck Lions Club currently has 26 members and is one of over 45,000 clubs and almost 1.4 million members worldwide.

In 1925 Helen Keller addressed the Lions at their International Convention challenging them to become “Knights of the Blind in the crusade against darkness.” Since that time, service to the blind and visually impaired has become on of the associations most significant activity. We work with the Lorton Community Action Center and we provide eye exams and eyeglasses for those needing assistance.

In our continuing effort to serve the Mason Neck and Lorton Community, the Mason Neck Lions Club provides a telephone Help Line. Although the primary mission of the Lions Club is the area of sight, hearing and diabetes, all Lions are committed to assist everyone in the community that requires help.
